Oh, it's late again. Oh well.

So, today started out with the phone ringing at about 9:50. I heard it ring and woke up and in those few seconds, FREAKED OUT and wondered WHY ON EARTH steve would let me sleep in so late when he KNOWS I have to be at work for 9am, and I'm late and it must be the store calling to wonder where I am and and and and.... oh, that was yesterday. It's Sunday today. I told him to wake me up at 10. All is well.

We went to my in-laws today for their 40th wedding anniversary party. It was a lovely time. Lauren was good. Nick was good. The food was good. The company was good. All was good.

Lauren fell asleep on the way home (at 6pm!) and slept for nearly an hour and a half. I was worried she wouldn't go to bed tonight, but she did. An hour later than normal, but that didn't bother me.

I spent that time working on my scrapbook. I now have my June 2003 pages organized. Woo freaking hoo. I may never catch up at this rate. I also watched the final episode in my Season One Quantum Leap DVDs. Now I covet Season Two.

I covet far too many things in the DVD area. It's sad, really.

I even managed to catch Paul McCartney at the Super Bowl tonight. I have to introduce Lauren to him and all. I had to interrupt her Baby Noah DVD, but, some things are just more important. I told her, "Look Lauren, it's Paul! We like Paul!" And she turned to me and said "Mommy's Paul?" You betcha baby!!!
As he was singing Get Back, I was telling Steve how glad I was that Paul was singing THE WHOLE SONGS, not just a chorus and half a verse of 15 different songs. Then I speculated what else might be coming. I guessed Live and Let Die and Hey Jude. Oooh, I was right. Live and Let Die brought back memories of when I actually SAW Paul in concert and I was all happy. Til I realized it was TWELVE YEARS AGO!!! My gosh, where does the time go??

And speaking of time going, a certain Mailing List has now been in existance for 10 years. I didn't get there til May, but TEN YEARS! Ten years ago, I was finishing up my third year of pharmacy school and living in my parents' basement in Winnipeg. Now I'm a part time pharmacist at Shoppers, married and raising kids in my own house. Wow. :) The half of my Friends List on LJ that isn't Family is from The Zone and I love that a big bunch of us are still in each other's lives. Hell, i married a Zoner. Doesn't get much more In My Life than that :)

Gym Clothes

So I went to the gym today. Wore my normal black pants with the white stripes up the sides of my legs, but instead of wearing an old gray tshirt, I put on my new green one from Old Navy. I looked in the mirror and went "WOW! I almost look thin!" I told Steve about my experience, and he said, "See what happens when you put on clothes that actually FIT?" :) Love that man :)

There was a woman at the gym today. She was maybe 45. She was wearing, for her work-out gear, jeans, cream turtle neck, and patterned sweater vest. Huh.
